Bergen County Zoo
This is a zoo whose mission leans towards preservation efforts. It has helped projects like population studies of threatened Wood Turtles and conservation initiatives for the Golden-Cheeked Warbler in Honduras.

Cape-May County Zoo
Cape May is a proud exhibitor of lions, giraffes, tigers, and much more. One fun activity that draws the crowd here is the Tree to Tree Adventure Park. It has zip lines, ferry packages, aerial obstacles, and night climbing activities.

Space Farms Zoo
Space Farms is a zoo and a museum. The zoo showcases wild animals from other countries like South Korea’s Elk herd, Africa’s spotted hyenas, Japan’s Hokkaido bears, and much more.
The museum shows over 50 antique cars. You will find vehicles made as early as the 1900s, mostly coming from Ford, Buick, and Chevrolet.

Cohanzick Zoo
The zoo is open daily from 9 AM to 4 PM. The zoo is free but it takes donations. There are no restaurants found inside so you should pack your lunch or have it in nearby restaurants.
The park is home to fun activities like Tiger Talk, river walk, and zoo camps. You will find many interesting animals here like tigers, a New Guinea singing dog, mountain lions, and different species of monkeys. The zoo is near a golf course and a splash park, which makes it an ideal spot for families.

Popcorn Park Zoo
Popcorn Park is not your typical zoo. It only houses animals who were on the brink of death. The zoo staff rescued these animals and rehabilitated them.

Jenkinson’s Aquarium
Though it leans heavily towards aquatic life, Jenkinson’s aquarium also has land animals. The park offers many fun activities like off-season feeding, summer feeding, summer camps, and exclusive events.

Adventure Aquarium
Adventure Aquarium has the largest collection of sharks on the East Coast. Apart from fish and sharks, the park also showcases hippos and blue penguins.
The main event of the park is the close encounter with sharks called Mermaid VIP. This requires a different ticket price but it allows you to snorkel with the sharks, along with professional divers from the park’s staff.
